Just finished up my service call with James and his grandson Dave. Lets Start off with the simple call. Mrs. Carol was such a sweetheart. She got me fixed right up. We ended up chatting about life for a few min even. I got so lucky that they had a last minute schedule change so it opened up a spot for me for 10-11. The guys showed up and did their thing but also educated me on my system. My husband is military so you know thats about the time things tend to stop working. Well I knew my system has lived they expected life span but Mr. James and Dave showed how to get the most life out of my system. Simple system housekeeping. Also, if you are military they do offer a discount. I'm going to keep their number on speed dial for sure! They also do pluming and garbage disposal.

This family owned company was our first HVAC call since moving to VA from a different state. From talking to Mrs. Carolyn on the phone to then having her husband and grandson come out the same day- it was the best experience for a new homeowner. I am pregnant and they really wanted to make sure my AC was working correctly and before they left. I will never, not call this company when I need some help! Thank you Mr. Dodd and family!!

I would definitely recommend this company. These people are very knowledgeable on Air Conditioning Repairs and have been in business for many years. You would not go wrong hiring them as they have great rates and much knowledge

If you are like me when it comes to repairs I am just used to opening my wallet and let myself be robbed because of not being mechanically inclined. I got three estimate for repair to my AC unit and was given a range of 3000 to 5500 dollars being told this was needed, that was needed and so on. Anyway with money being tight I tried one more estimate and contacted James Dodd Plumbing and Air. The office staff was very friendly and was able to get Mr. Dodd himself out there the same day. So what the other repair places made seem like the end of the world turned out that just a minor repair was needed and the cost was minor. I was so relieved. So yes 'Virginia' there is a honest repair man out there. If you are looking for honesty, professionalism and people that follow through go with James Dodd Plumbing and Air.

Of course I am gonna rate 5 stars. This is a family business. (My family) 3 generations could be working on the same job. And mrs. Dodd answers the phone. Mr. Dodd (my dad) has been doing hvac, electric, plumbing and gas fitting for more years than I have been alive. I have worked for the family forever now my son is working. A true family business. We must be doing something right because we have had the same customers for years, now we take care of their children and even a few grand children. Although we do advertise a bit, referrals is how most people hear about us. Maybe we get so many referrals because we not only enjoy our customers but we are greatful to be asked to come in your homes and help remedy your problems.
